Meet Our Growers
Small Changes Today, for a Greener Tomorrow
We firmly believe that by balancing environmental stewardship, social responsibility and economic prosperity we sustain and improve the health of our planet, the viability of our business, and the quality of life for our communities, future generations and ourselves.
SupHerb Herbs
Our herbs are grown locally using proprietary herb varietals and we contract with the most experienced and professional farmers in five different counties in California. Meet the local farmers we contract with who support our sustainable strategy.Grower
Underwood Farms
Ventura County
Underwood Ranches is a family owned farm that goes back to the 1860’s. For the past 30 years, Chief Operating Officer Jim Roberts (left), has helped the Underwood Family with daily management of all aspects of the farming operation. Even though it is challenging, Jim loves agriculture. The challenge of trying to organize the chaos that mother nature throws at him and still having a successful harvest is what brings him back every day.

The Process
As an agricultural company, we have a great appreciation for all aspects of nature and our environment. We take the utmost care in making sure our agricultural practices are of the highest standard. All of our fields are harvested mechanically by our SupHerb Field department. We practice crop rotation to maintain healthy soil and irrigate with a drip irrigation system to minimize water use where possible.
Proprietary Seeds
.01 Proprietary Seeds
Quality and consistency are maintained by using our own proprietary seed. With seeds so small that one seed could set on the point of a ballpoint pen, great care is needed and taken at planting time.
Planting
.02 Planting
Our crops are grown in the fertile soils of the San Joaquin Valley. Great care is taken through planting and harvesting to produce the highest quality SupHerb herbs. We take soil samples of each field before they are planted to customize the fertilizer for the field and crop, eliminating usage of excess nitrogen which helps the environment by reducing the nitrogen in our drinking water.
Nurturing
.03 Nurturing
Our growers employ the latest innovations in growing our crops such as laser leveling of fields to aid in irrigation control, use of GPS when working the fields to increase fuel efficiency and the use of soil sensors to monitor water usage of our crops to prevent excess water usage.
Harvesting
.04 Harvesting
At SupHerb Farms we own and operate the harvesting equipment. This allows us to maintain quality from planting through harvest. Harvesting is accomplished in the early hours of the morning to capture the freshness of the product, which gives our customers that “garden fresh” flavor from every product we grow.
Processing
.05 Processing
Processing of our herbs is completed within 24 hours of harvest to maintain freshness and quality at our state-of-the-art facility in Turlock, California. Our crops are washed and spin dried before they enter our IQF belts for a quick freeze to lock in flavor, color and volatile oils. The process is then completed when your herbs are packaged to your specific need and shipped to your door.
Natural Guarantee
Providing products that are of the highest quality is our commitment to you. Our products are made with natural ingredients, contain no artificial preservatives, and provide consistent quality and year-round availability. No gluten-containing ingredients are used and all of our herbs are grown under good agricultural practices certification.
We take pride in exceeding industry standards. Rigorous safety and quality controls– including strict oversight in the field, during processing, packaging, warehousing, and shipment– ensure food safety and confidence in our products. One taste is all it takes to experience how fresh the flavor truly is.
