Tuscan Pork Sausage

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Lean ground pork
  • 3 tablespoons SupHerb Farms Fresh Frozen Tomato Roasted Diced with Oil
  • 2 1/3 tablespoons SupHerb Farms Fresh Frozen Garlic Minced
  • 2 1/3 tablespoons SupHerb Farms Fresh Frozen Bell Pepper Red Roasted Diced 1/4″
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons SupHerb Farms Fresh Frozen Basil Large
  • 2 tablespoons SupHerb Farms Fresh Frozen Parsley Large
  • 1 teaspoon SupHerb Farms Fresh Frozen Rosemary Large
  • 5 tablespoons Gorgonzola cheese — crumbled
  • 1 teaspoon White truffle oil
  • 1/4 cup Ice — crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper — crushed

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients except casing to a large bowl and blend well.
  2. Fill casing with sausage mixture.
  3. Add liquid (water, wine, or chicken stock) to a large pot. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and add sausage to liquid. Simmer sausages for 20 minutes to poach.
  5. Remove sausages and sauté in a large skillet on high heat for 5 to 6 minutes or grill for 3 minutes.
  6. Turn sausages frequently to cook evenly.
